วันที่ 31 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2558 โรงพยาบาลสุไหงโก-ลก ได้จัดกิจกรรม ประกาศนโยบายโรงพยาบาลปลอดบุหรี่ ณ อาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ51พรรษา โรงพยาบาลสุไหงโก-ลก โดยมีนายแพทย์ศุภชัย ศุภพฤกษ์สกุล ผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลสุไหงโก-ลก เป็นประธานเปิดพิธี มีนางสาววัฏฐิกา สัตยาทิตย์ รองผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายบริหาร เป็นผู้กล่าวรายงาน กิจกรรมในครั้งจัดขื้นเพื่อเป็นการดูแลสุขภาพผู้ป่วย ผู้รับบริการ ตลอดจนเจ้าหน้าที่ ที่อยู่ในสถานพยาบาลแห่งนี้ ให้ปลอดภัยจากพิษภัยของบุหรี่ ทางคณะทำงานจึงได้มีการจัดทีมงานขึ้นมาดูแลปราบปรามผู้ที่สูบบุหรี่ในพื้นที่เขตโรงพยาบาล ตลอดจนมีทีมม้าเร็วที่เป็นหน่วยแจ้งเหตุในวันราชการ มีการประชาสัมพันธ์ 2 ภาษาคือภาษาไทยและภาษามาลายู ทั้งภายนอกภายใน เพื่อให้ประชาชนทั่วไปได้รับทราบและจะดำเนินการตามพระราชบัญญัติคุ้มครองสุขภาพของผู้ไม่สูบบุหรี่ พ.ศ.2535 ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 เมษายน 2558 เป็นต้นไป
